The 31st of December began and eded in the company of cats. Very good company, if you ask me! I paid my favorite cat in the world, Kali, a visit. I was delighted to find she’d suddenly fluffed up with a lot more thick luscious black and brown soft soft fur and was in good spirits. I know that people who don’t know cats will think she looks sulky or scary, but that isn’t so. She was as delighted to see me, and proceeded to treat me to a whole thirty minutes of rubbing-against and head butting. By the looks of my sweater, she managed to give her fur a good clean up. But I don’t mind! Kali’s my main cat!
I also met the mad cat Zimbabwe (because she was so aggressive I threatened to send her there0 who had a personality change and turned so super-friendly she got renamed Velcro.
In the evening, I went to a get together at the Sarin residence. We sat outside in the cold with a nice warm fire and sparkled rather a lot. Whiskey helped ward off the cold and so did the four Sarin almost-cats. Now these cats are a funny bunch. If one of them decides it wants to be in your lap, all the rest decide they must be in the same lap. Before you know it you have 4 furry purring creatures settled themselves all over you and meowing questioningly into your face. Four purring warm cats! What mroe can you ask for! Except i finally got fed up of the lot and spilt them unceremoniously to the ground and left them to the dudes.

Ooooooh Kali is a beauty!!!
Is it also Zimbabwe next to her?
He does not look wild actually! But those feline “first impressions” can be very deceiving anyway
Where do you visit them – at friends places? Because you said you had no cats?
Happy New Year!!!
You too! May we all get obscenely rich.
Dina, I’ve populated all my friends’ houses with cats. So yes, I visit Kali at a friend’s place. I wonder if she knows I’ve come just to visit her! Maybe she does because she greets me very warmly and she’s not that way with everyone.
Yes, it’s Velcro next to her. She irritates the living daylights out of Kali by getting in her face all the time.
OOOOOHHHHHHH i just noticed the picture with the cats crowding on your lap Mala
How cute!!!!!
Yeah, well so many cats can get a bit much though.
I imagine they can get pretty demanding when in direct competition/jealousy
No, actually they’re not much in competition with each other yet. They just keeping meowing directly into your face. They either want interaction or they’re asking something I can’t understand. It’s that kind of meow where their eyes close and whiskers go back and then their eyes open and they look at your and wait for some answer. I always just say ‘Could you spell that, please?”
