oh wow what an honour
you’re welcome Mala!
Hey, good for you, Sajia! Is this one of your own songs? I can’t quite catch the words – what language?
There are actually 4 songs there, all in English. More details on the Youtube page.
oh yeah i thought it must be more than one song. I liked the mix – is your style of singing Indian or from another Central Asian culture, or inspired by it?
I thought the beginning sounded very mysterious and exotic.. for me not knowing much about Asian song and dance (to my shame) it sounded Indian or maybe Bengali..
nice job!
I’ve studied HIndustani classical voice (Bengali and Mewati) for 10 years, and opera for a year. And as a songwriter I have a very Bengali sensibility, although I write lyrics in English.
I totally got the Bengali feel too. So interesting. I studied Hindustani classical for 10 years too – but long ago.
